FAQ

When is the last day I can register?

Registration is open online until May 20th at 5pm, but you can register in person on race day.

The cost during this time is $35.

The run is scheduled for May 21st, 2023.

Is there a parking fee?

Parking in the park requires a day pass which can only be purchased day of.

You can buy an annual pass (Golden Poppy or whichever suits your vehicle and needs) to all California state recreation areas at https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1049

Are dogs allowed?

Although we do love dogs (just look at the black lab on our logo), we cannot allow each participant to bring their pup for pure chaos reasons. Please leave them at home this time, but keep the location in mind because dogs do love the area.

Is your event suitable for all ages?

  • This event is a trail run with uneven terrain. Although a large portion of the run is flat, it does require going up and down dirt paths. There is a 1 mile walk option on paved road that is more shady, but requires going up and down moderate grades.  Back at "home base," there will be family friendly fun including firetrucks, police cars, and ambulances with personnel to give demonstrations answer questions. Please use this information to help determine what is best for your family.

  • We consider a child to be under 12 years old and may run for free alongside a parent/guardian. There is a portion on the registration waiver where you may sign them up. We ask that every person, no matter the age, be on a waiver for insurance purposes.

  • Anyone 12 and up will need to complete their own registration so they can have a bib to be timed.

Are strollers allowed?

Strollers, wagons, and carriers are all allowed. Please be mindful and courteous to other participants at narrow path points. Also, be aware that there are sections of the 5k on uneven ground including large divots, decomposed granite terrain, and pebble paths which may all make for a bumpy ride. The 1 mile walk is paved, but does have some steep grades.

What happens if it rains?

We will be running rain or shine. In the event of lightning, the event will be canceled.

Is the route a loop?

It's more of an out and back. You only need to park in one area because you will finish at the same place you started. No extra transportation needed.

I was not able to select my shirt size. What should I do?

Our event was more popular than we expected, and we ran out of shirts. If you would still like a shirt, please enter your information HERE, and we will get you a shirt as soon as we can after race day. Must submit by 5/28

What is your refund policy?

In the unfortunate event that you are unable to make it, we ask that you please consider the cost of your ticket a donation to our cause.
